The Sounds of Literacy!

This year, Tune Up Philly will engage in a a year-long collaboration with the Free Library of Philadelphia that promotes literacy through musical outreach programs. The students will perform in 10 library branches throughout North Philadelphia, culminating in a large festival concert at the main branch of the Free Library in May 2013.  Each program will focus on a book depicting life in another country, utilizing the intersection of music and literature to promote reading and awareness of the surrounding world. Come check out a program at your local library!
