instruction.  Through its Tune Up Philly program, Philadelphia Youth Orchestra organization believes that music education is a powerful vehicle for children to master skills that will enable them to acquire valuable tools for cooperative learning, teamwork, academic success and self-esteem.

Every student enrolled in our program recieves a 4,000 dollar tuition scholarship and an instrument. Our program runs from 2:30-4:30, five days a week, every day that there is a full day of school. Each student participates in two classes a day – Choir or General Music followed by their instrumental lesson. We are currently teaching: Flute, Clarinet, Violin, Viola, Cello, French Horn, Trumpet and Trombone. We are looking forward to our first Orchestra rehearsal in November!
